It's Launch Day!!!

Here it is!  Wednesday, July 29th, and we are LIVE on The Grommet!!!!  

I've dreamed of something like this happening with my business even before I had a business!  I've always been of the entrepreneurial bent, and even though today doesn't "officially" make me an entrepreneur, I have to say, it feels pretty awesome to have someone else notice my products, and believe in them as much as I do!

A little about me...

My name is Jill Garcia.  Originally from St. Louis, MO, living in Dallas, TX now, but my heart will always belong to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado!  I'm married to Aaron, for almost 11 years, and we are having the adventure of a lifetime raising our three boys.  My ultimate dream is to live on a ranch in Colorado, maybe in a tiny house (I can't decide if it's a great idea, or completely outrageous :))!  

My goal with EYC Studio is to create products that bring joy into our lives, and also serve a vital function in our families and homes through streamlining our daily tasks with organization, and to do it all while making the name of Jesus more famous.

A little blurb about The Grommet...

The Grommet is the online launch platform for early-stage consumer products from independent Makers like myself.  Since 2008, more than 60,000 products have been evaluated by The Grommet.  Mine is only one of 2000 – or 3% of all products considered.  This is an important step for me as I continue to develop my products and business.  On launch day, there will be a video of me, my products, and some additional marketing from one of the Grommet team members, as well as photos of my products.  Their daily launch e-mail goes out to over 2.8 million people each day, so exposure should be pretty great!

And a little about the business...

Some of you may know my background and story, and that I’ve always enjoyed the creative things in life.  A few years ago, I started my search for a functional, yet vividly designed and trendy planner.  After not finding anything on the market that fit my life stage, needs, and desire for a colorful trendy planner that I would want to use every day, I decided I would put my creative gifts to good use, and my everyday planner was born.  While in the beginning stages of this new product formation, the planners were spiral bound, and limited to only January – December.  Over the years, I have morphed the everyday planner into a trendy, yet functional product, that can be started at any point during the year, in a binder, so you can add and take things out as needed, and where you can keep track of everything from meal planning to cleaning, vitamins and fitness, to meetings, and the ever-dreaded to-do list.  This all-encompassing planner, serves a function that most people I know need desperately, organization.  It’s simple to use, and trendy enough to keep open throughout the day on your kitchen countertop or desk at work.  The teacher planner also came from a love for all things organizational.  I wanted something different for my teacher friends than the boring, childish planners sold at teacher supply stores, without sacrificing all the details that are needed for all the different grades taught.  I spent many months designing a layout that I feel is a great fit for all teachers, and so the teacher planner was created.

I hope you fall in love with our products just as much as we have, and have fun creating a routine that helps to simplify life, so you can have more time doing what's important -- spending quality time with family and friends!
